Snowdrops
For only a limited amount of days per year, a large carpet of snowdrops can be admired at the Benington Lordship Gardens in rural Hertfordshire. Around a Georgian manor house and the remains of a Norman castle, thousands of snowdrops thrive around the castle and moat, along with many winter aconites and hellebores. Of course, a visit wouldn't be complete without a break at the tea room and a bundle of snowdrops to take home and enjoy this early spring splendour a bit longer…
